5 tips on how to make money from business blogs

Blogs, that are emerging as an integral part of many business websites, were earlier not taken more than tools to sing praises of company products and services. But if employed smartly, blogs can also bring in some money.

GIVING A business virtual presence with a website has been in vogue for sometime now and considered one of the must-have elements for growth. But the trend of adding a blog to a business website has also emerged at the same time and is steadily gaining popularity amongst entrepreneurs. Smart Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) are using their blogs to declare their market strategies. They have made it their mouthpiece to interact with their clients and promote their product line and do much more. Interacting with clients and customers is surely a money-puller method. And it is the most common and palpable reason behind having blogs. A little twist and you can evolve ways to use blogs or web-logs as money spinners.

Although, interacting with customers and declaring your market plans are also part of making money via business blogs, but the virtual pitch cannot be raised without other measures that we are going to talk about. Let your blog do its due on the virtual pitch with these tips. In a nutshell, use your business blog to bring in a little cash too. The following few steps can turn your blog into a cash mint.

  1. Selling advertising space on your blog. You can monetise from your blog by selling advertising space. This is one of the commonest ways of utilising a blog to generate income. Things become more simple when you have got already a well-known blog or the one that is a well-received unique source.

But if you are a new into enterprise blogging and have a lesser-known blog, it would be better to use services like Google’s AdSense or BlogAds. These services lend bloggers support to establish ad programmes.

AdSense — which allows you to choose several ads that match the content of your blog — pays you under pay-per-click programme. It examines as to how many readers clicked on the ads placed on your blog for further information.

  1. Helping sell others’ products. You can use your blog to help sell others’ products by selecting upon affiliate programmes available on the web. This can be a good click-through opportunity that promises scope for more bucks. Affiliate programme is the ideal way to make your web-log profitable and is an affiliate marketing initiative. Affiliate marketing is a kind of online programme used by a website for driving traffic to another. In return the website which has used it for other one gets paid. There are number of web affiliate programmes available on the web. You can select programmes that suit you and your blog. These programmes enable your blog to serve as a channel between readers and online sites offering multiple goods and services. One popular choice can be Amazon.com.

Some other affiliate programmes include Google’s Cost Per Action, ClickAffiliate.com, Games Warehouse Affliate, BidVertiser, eBrandz, eAffiliatez and QuickBooker, among others.

  1. Soliciting contributions.Helping sell others’ products or taking shelter under affiliate programme does really play a crucial role when online money is concerned. But hawking goods and services does not alone work on the blog. For blog-related income opportunities, you have to use the strength of your loyal readers. You have to rely on their kindness and can simply ask them for contributions. Suppose, for example, your business blog supports a cause or comes out for an issue in fashion—we mean if your blog keeps on raising voice on tax reforms, a fashion trend, a political controversy, health care or topics like that—you can ask your readers for their support. Even though you’ve earned loyal followers who like reading what you have to say, they may like to underwrite their loyalty with a little financial help.

You can easily establish an on-site contribution collection button with programmes like PayPal to solicit their contributions.

  1. Use your blog to market your services. It is an acknowledged fact that blogs have become soapbox on the Internet where you can shout your opinions or do a little more than that. But besides your opinions, it can turn out to be a great tool to market your services. You may write blogs about the kind of services you offer, tell your readers the benefits of your services and hence leave an impression on them about your product/service line.

But while blogging what you have to keep in mind is that you are never cryptic about whatever you say either about your services or about your marketing strategies. Explain everything at length that demonstrates your strategies, abilities and perspectives on particular product or market issues. When your customers will read it, they will come to know at length about your services and will have least doubts. It will help you win more customers. And more customers mean more business. And more business means more money.

  1. Blog to build a rapport with your existing customers.Never distance from your customers, or business will distance from you.

Seems like an old adage, doesn’t it? But it can simply be applied in the case of business blog. When you have got a blog, try regularly to communicate with existing or new clients using a blog post. Take every opportunity that your blog lends you to come closer with them. Inform them about whatever your business does, what are the upcoming plans with regard to services, and how your business can serve them better, etc. In simple words, if you will show proximity to your customers, they will show proximity to your business. It will help you tap new customers as well.
These are simple steps for which you need not have hardcore technical expertise to handle. You can bring them is use and add more to your treasury. After all drawing out money from every possible source is what a business is generally aimed at. Moreover, it will enhance traffic on your website, helping your business become popular.

How To Build Traffic To Your Blog

Setting up a blog is easy but maintaining and promoting it in search engines needs specialized skills. You need to understand how blog functions and in what ways it can be promoted successfully to generate instant and constant stream of traffic.

Whenever you update or add posts to your blog, you can ping to let services (designed specifically for connecting blogs.) know your blog content have changed since last update. This is like telling others that you have changed. It is seen that pinging increases traffic to your blog.

With Wordpress, checking for updates in your blog is done automatically and the changes are reflected usually by moving you blog links on top of bloggers blogroll list. This way you get more clicks to your blog.

If you want to increase more traffic to your blog, you can install additional pinging services. Its seen that pinging frequently increase traffic to your blog. Most of the blogging software comes with at leas one ping updates which pings every time you add a new post; but if you want to ping even if you edit your post to update it, you need to install additional plug-ins.

Wordpress bloggers can add additional update ping services by simply login to there account and adding more update services in their list present at the bottom of the sub-sub menu Writing tab under Option menu. A long list if services to be added can be found here at http://elliottback.com/wp/archives/2004/11/21/a-list-of-rpc-and-rpc2-to-ping/ .

Besides pinging services, you will also need to submit your Rss feeds to various directories and search engines to increase traffic to your blog. One advanced tip (often missed) while making your Rss feeds is to carefully select keywords which are high on traffic but low in competition and use them in the text of the feeds. Also update your feeds more often to increase your chance of being found in the SERPs.

Nothing else can beat the power of adding keyword rich contents to your blog frequently. This has the major impact in attracting quality traffic to your website as more and more posts from your blog find their way into the search results. Usually it is seen that blogging frequency is most when you have newly installed your blog and after 2-3 months of blogging the frequency of blogging tends to decrease. So, it is the continual efforts that will get your blog the much-deserved traffic.

Happy Blogging!!

How To Make Extra Money Without A Website

One of the great things about the Internet is how it has made it so much easier for the average person to make extra money.

No longer do you have to wait weeks for your money to come in from a mail order business. Nor do you have to surrender your precious blood, sweat and tears running a backbreaking service business. It’s a fact; you can actually sit in front of your computer and make extra money. You can even make extra money without a website and this article will explain how.

No doubt, if you’ve done any research on how to make extra money, then you’ve heard the words ‘affiliate marketing.’ Affiliate marketing typically involves having a website that has links to relevant affiliate programs, allowing you to make a little money from the traffic that is already visiting your site.

Or, affiliate marketing involves using pay per click ads to drive traffic to the affiliate program page. Although this method doesn’t require you to have a website, it’s generally not a good method for a beginner to get involved in, because it can get expensive in a hurry.

Luckily for us though, there is a way to make extra money without a website and it’s a method that is simple to implement. The only scary part is that does involve a little work. If you’re not willing to put in the effort, then this may not be for you.

You’ll want to find an affiliate program you’re comfortable with. Probably one you have a little knowledge of the subject matter. Once you’ve picked your program, you need to do your keyword research. There are plenty of free tools available for this step.

You’ll be looking for overlooked keywords that don’t have a lot of competition. They need to have some traffic on the search engines, but the competition should be lower. Once you have your likely keywords picked out, you will write articles, using the keywords in the titles and in the article body. You will link to the affiliate program from the article and also from your author resource box.

Most article directories allow you to have four links- two in the article and two in your author resource. Try to use relevant linking text, text that the search engines will gleefully gobble up.

By writing interesting articles and posting them to high traffic article directories, you will create a steady stream of traffic to your favorite affiliate programs and you’ll soon be unlocking the code to how to make money without a website.

Different Ways To Make Money Using Your Blog

1. The blog can be used as a consultant. This work is quite simple. Information is provided on a specific topic and then to sell the service special personal attention is provided to the blog visitors in order to enable them to apply the teaching to their personal situation. Fee charged for the consulting work is usually hourly based .I have also seen some of the expertise blog consultants getting signed up by the companies. One thing I would like to clear is that there are not bloggers only who blog about blogging but there are different bloggers like marketing bloggers, photography bloggers also who offer specialized consulting services.

2. It is becoming a new trend that the books are now being written by the bloggers. Book publishers approach bloggers to write books for them.

3. There is an opportunity provided to earn money by peaking out .Normally the bloggers do not have to speak and they spend all their time writing for the blogs only. But here a chance is provided to get paid out for speaking if they are availed to speak in hose and in organizations.

4. Money can be enchased by using blog as a training center. Special training courses can be run for the readers of the blog. They direct the blog traffic to training online or offline even.

5. Money can be pocketed in by writing also. The knowledge and expertise of the bloggers get themselves approaches by the magazines, newspapers or sometimes other blogs also. Thus they can play the part of a regular staff writer or one time paid ones only.

6. As the opportunities get opened up for earning by other means then the blog can be used to sell other things and services also .It comes as a result of increased viewership of the blog like blogs by lawyers can be used to give medical advices and other blogs keep an eye on the share market position also.

7. Blogs works out to be an excellent source for e-selling. I have come across number of cases where blogs are being used to create memberships, to create e-books and software relating to their own niches.

8. It does wonders in launching real jobs. Your profile and expertise should be of the kind to get you noticed by the blog community and they should see you as a privilege to their staff.

9. Sometimes blog acts like an advertisement to their companies’ products and services .It works as a source of indirect income earner by finding business customers and clients also. But the precaution needed in this case is that as a result of this the blog should not become only a sales ground.

10. Now coming to last point I would also like to be a bit creative in my article writing by letting this point to be left to bloggers innovativeness so that they can themselves find out new ways of making money from their blogs by their own unique ideas.

Rapidshare has been an excellent tool for sharing large files. Recently users have discovered ways of bypassing the download limits and skipping the waiting time. Here are a description of these methods.

These are more advanced and may require additional software or hardware, but you should check them out when you are done with other easier methods:

RapidShare Hack: NIC tricks and MAC cloning to bypass Rapidshare download limit

Rapidshare traces the users IP address to limit each user to a certain amount of downloading per day. To get around this, you need to show the rapidshare

a different IP address.
Here are some methods for doing this:

1. Short-Out the javascript:
1. Goto the page you want to download
2. Select FREE button
3. In the address bar put the following: javascript:alert(c=0)
4. Click OK
5. Click OK to the pop-up box
6. Enter the captcha
7. Download Your File

2. Request a new IP address from your ISP server.
Here’s how to do it in windows:
1. Click Start
2. Click run
3. In the run box type cmd.exe and click OK
4. When the command prompt opens type the following. ENTER after each new line.
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

5. Erase your cookies in whatever browser you are using.
6. Try the rapidshare download again.

Frequently you will be assigned a new IP address when this happens. Sometime you will, sometimes you will not. If you are on a fixed IP address, this method will not work. If this works for you, you may want to save the above commands into a batch file, and just run it when you need it.

3. Use a proxy with SwitchProxy and Firefox
1. Download and install Firefox if you have not already.
2. Download and install SwitchProxy
3. Google for free proxies
4. When you hit your download limit, clean your cookies and change your proxy

4. Use an anonymous service:
Running your system through the tor network should in theory work; however, it is difficult to use and setup. Plus, you allow others to run their evil deeds through your system as well by using this system. Anonymizer 2005 is inexpensive, easy to use, but not free. Other pay services would likely work as well.

5. You can use a bookmarklet to stop your wait times:

1. Open IE
2. Right Click On This Link
3. Select Add to Favorites
4. Select Yes to the warning that the bookmark may be unsafe.
5. Name it “RapidShare No Wait”
6. Click on the Links folder (if you want to display it in your IE toolbar)
7. Click OK
8. You may need to close and reopen IE to see it
9. Goto rapidshare and click the bookmarklet when you are forced to wait

Make money with Google AdSense

Google AdSense is the Google program where you can host pay-per-click ads on your Web site. When someone clicks an ad, you earn money. Simple as that.

Is it really as easy to make money with Google AdSense as many would lead you to believe? Now that I've become heavily involved with managing Google AdSense programs for my clients, I can see it's not all play and no work.

Unfortunately, a lot of people bought into the idea that there was a lot of easy money to be made and they are now finding out they aren't making nearly as much as they thought they would. Additionally, Google has a lot of prohibited practices when it comes to AdSense, and too many Webmasters are finding out they violated Google's policies after the fact - often because they never bothered to read the AdSense policies in the first place.

Webmasters must not only comply with AdSense policies, but their web sites must also comply with Google's webmaster policies.

Dealing with Competitors

If you offer products or services on you Web site, the first thing you'll notice when you begin hosting PPC Advertising Networks is that many of the ads are coming from your competitors. Therefore, you'll want to put ads on pages that aren't earning you any money, or do like I did and not put ads on your site until you're so busy anyway you'd rather make a few dollars off of your competitors than to continue turning business away with nothing to show for it.

Google AdSense allows you to specify up to 200 URLs for sites you want to bar from placing ads on your pages. The problem is that most times you won't know the competitors are out there until their ads appear.

Google Money Making Ad Options

Google offers three ways to make money from them:
  • Google AdSense for Content - A variety of size and shape ads for placing in your content are available. These can be text or image ads or both - you specify what you'll allow. Ad units are full ads. Link units are simply a strip of text links that your visitors might want to click. Google allows you to put up to 3 Ad Units and 1 Link unit on each page of your Web site, provided you follow its policies - both for AdSense and for Webmasters.
  • Google AdSense for Search - This places a search box on your Web site. When a user enters a term and conducts a search, a search results page opens, that hosts more pay-per-click ads. You can customize the color scheme of the search results page to harmonize with your web site.
  • Google Referrals - Here you make money by referring visitors to use a Google product, like AdSense, AdWords, the Google Toolbar and other Google software. Just like Google AdSense for Content and AdSense for Search, Google generates the code that you paste into the desired location on your web page. You can choose from a wide variety of buttons and text links of different colors. As an example of how Google Referrals works, if someone goes to your site and clicks the link and signs up for an AdSense account, when that person earns a $100 from Google AdSense and receives a payout from Google, you'll also receive $100 for referring them. This is a great idea to me, because you can be the world's worst Google AdSense advertiser, but if an ad dynamo happens to visit your site and uses your referral link, you can make money anyway!

Google AdSense Payments

Google will not issue an AdSense payment until your earnings exceed $100. Unfortunately, there are loads of Google AdSense Forum entries about Web site operators who accumulated $90 or more in click through earnings only to get banned from Google and not get paid anything at all before they ever reached $100. This may be because Google doesn't take a close look to see if you're complying with their guidelines until it comes time to pay you. So yes, there's a lot more to the story than meets the eye.

Other Programs Besides AdSense

Yahoo and MSN have similar programs, although those programs aren't as well-developed as Google AdSense and there aren't as many available advertisers to display ads on your site. The fundamentals for making money are the same. You still need plenty of traffic, you still need high-paying ads, and you still need to design your site to harmonize with the ads to get people to click.

* Respond as much as possible to other's topics without concentrating on earning money. Just write what you know is best and forget about making money for that moment. Money will come if you write in detail and your discussion has some quality and value. Make sure that your posts are atleast two sentences or more in length to get better money for your time.

* Start a new discussion with a topic that most people will respond to. Avoid writing topics that are 'do you like this', 'do you like that', 'How old are you' etc. When responding to topics avoid replies like 'I dont know', 'yes' or 'no' and other similar responses, those messages are mostly removed. Your topics should be such that argument can take place and others have a chance to give their opinion and agree or disagree with others. Your posts should have some substance so conversation can take place.

* When replying to someone's message try and upload a picture/photo (avoid copyrighted photos) which are somewhat relevant to the discussion that you are responding to. There is a link to upload photo when you are responding to a message. Note, you can upload pictures when you have 500 points or higher. Points are shown next to your userid. You get one point for each response (excluding your own started posts). Upload your photo and add some comments.

* When you take some material from any external site make sure to add some reference to it or quote it. You dont want your post to get deleted and lose your earning.

* Make as many friends as you can and ask them to judge your discussions or ask them to help you identify best responses and mark those responses as a best reponse in your post. Ask your friends which topic they would like you to write or help them include some topic for discussion.

* Use tags for your and others posts. Tags will increase your earnings and more people will either search or respond to it.

* Rate other posts and discussions by selecting + and - next to each reply.

* After you have registered you get a referrer Id which you can see in your profile. Send your referral Id to people you know and when they sign up with Mylot and take part in discussion, you make money!

* When you sign up you can choose your interests and other personal preferences. Start discussions that belong to a category or your interest. This would help you get more money for your posts.

Good Luck..

Making Money Online With your blog.......................

What is Nautanki.tv?

Nautanki.tv is India’s first online 24/7 TV channel. Nautanki.tv provides unique online video content such as film reviews, celebrity talk shows, tele-films, car shows, travel documentaries and much more. The videos shows on nautanki.tv last for around 5 minutes each.

So How Can Bloggers Make Money With Nautanki?

Nautanki.tv has ads playing before and after it’s video content. The advertisers pay on pay per view basis and Nautanki pays its publishers a part of that amount. If you would like to be a publisher for the shows of Nautanki TV, then you could register on the Nautanki site . Then enter the codes provided on your site and you are off to make money. Nautanki.tv is a boon for regional language blogs (Hindi, Tamil, etc) which cannot be monetized well with other ad networks like Adsense

My Experience With Nautanki

Firstly, Nautanki.tv is no scam, I have been trying it for five months. And the payment is always done on time. But a major problem with Nautanki is that it pays its publishers in multiples of Rs. 10,000. So if you have even made Rs. 9,999/- in a month, then you will not be paid in that month. You will have to wait for another whole month to get your rightful money.

When I first started using nautanki on one of my sites the money generated was unbelievable, with a traffic of around 3000 uniques daily, Nautanki was making close to Rs. 2000/- daily. This was a dream. A dream that ended in a month or so.

As time passed, I was of the opinion that the money would only increase, as Nautanki would end up making more money with time ( with increase in advertisers). But I was in for a rude shock, though the advertisers increased, the revenue continued to spiral down. Though the traffic of my site has increased from 3000 uniques to 6000 uniques, the revenue generated through Nautanki has spiralled down from Rs. 2000/- to Rs. 200/- a day. A fact which is hard to digest.

The worst thing about Nautanki is that a month back they started auto-playing their videos on publisher sites. This was a real disaster. Playing the videos automatically, without the users interest, was an indication of Nautanki’s desperate means to make money at the cost of user experience. Imagine loud videos being played as you are browsing. That is surely one irritating experience for your site viewers. And this was something that I did not want my site viewers you to experience. Though I was making around Rs. 200/- Rs. 300/- with nautanki, I decided to scrap it off from my site.

Suggestions To Improve Nautanki.tv

Stop the auto-play of the videos immediately. It is very irritating.

Reduce the limit from Rs. 10,000 to around Rs. 3000/- to Rs. 5000/- so that even smaller websites could use it to generate revenue.

Improve the video content. I know it’s a hard task to generate unique video content, but compared to television standards, the content on Nautanki is simply pathetic. If nautanki really wants to make it big, then they must find a way so as to improve their video content. It may be difficult but it is not impossible.

Let the publishers know the reason for a fall in revenue.

Increase the revenue share of the publishers. And also increase the advertiser network.Presently the ad network of nautanki can barely be counted on one’s fingers.

My Advice To Publishers

Nautanki.tv will only help websites that have huge traffic to make money. Also the auto-playing of videos could irritate your site audience and lead to a degeneration of traffic. Though there is no harm in trying, I would recommend, publishers to stay away from Nautanki.tv.

A Word Of Appreciation To The Founders Of Nautanki

To start something innovative in India, is really credible. And I would say hats off to the Nautanki team for conceptualizing a unique idea like Nautanki. The only problem I feel is that the idea is not being exploited properly. I humbly request you guys to take a note of my suggestions. Nautanki has the power of overhauling Google Adsense too, just proper execution is necessary.

Make Easy Money Online

Treasuretrooper.com is a website that anyone can join free and make money by signing up companies offers and referring new member to the site. As most of the offers are from US companies so many of the paid to sign up opportunities are available to American only. People who live outside US can still earn money through the refer a friend program and fill out some low-paid offers.

Low-paid offers usually are free to sign up whereas high-paid offers generally require you to include credit card detail during the process of sign up. Your earning will depend on the number of free offers completed and your referral. If you can complete 5 cash offers daily, you should be earning more than $20.00 per month. The more you sign up the higher your earning. Completing offers isn't a difficult job (an easy task actually) some members said that it is fun doing it. They will pay you when the earning exceeds $20.00.

You can also do a search from search engines to see what others are commenting about this website before taking any action. I can't guarantee that you will make money joing Treasuretrooper.com but with their good history records and on-time paying status, you can consider joing them if you are looking for a way to make extra money online.

28 Ways to Make Money with Your Website

There are several lists with “ways to make money with a website” on the Internet, but none of them seem to be complete. That is why I decided to create this one. If you know a method that is not listed below, just let us know and we’ll update it.

Notice that ways to make money with a website are different from ways to make more money from it. Methods to increase your traffic or click-through rate will help you make more money, but they do not represent a method of making money per se.

For example, one could suggest that blending AdSense ads with the content is a way to make money from a website. In reality it’s not; it’s just a way to make more money by improving your ad click-through rate. The real monetization method behind it is a PPC ad network.

The list is divided into direct and indirect methods, and examples and links are provided for each point. Enjoy!

Direct Methods

1. PPC Advertising Networks

Google AdSense is the most popular option under this category, but there are also others. Basically you need to sign up with the network and paste some code snippets on your website. The network will then serve contextual ads (either text or images) relevant to your website, and you will earn a certain amount of money for every click.

The profitability of PPC advertising depends on the general traffic levels of the website and, most importantly, on the click-through rate (CTR) and cost per click (CPC). The CTR depends on the design of the website. Ads placed abode the fold or blended with content, for instance, tend to get higher CTRs. The CPC, on the other hand, depends on the nice of the website. Mortgages, financial products and college education are examples of profitable niches (clicks worth a couple of dollars are not rare), while tech-related topics tend to receive a smaller CPC (sometimes as low as a couple of cents per click).

The source of the traffic can also affect the overall CTR rate. Organic traffic (the one that comes from search engines) tends to perform well because these visitors were already looking for something, and they tend to click on ads more often. Social media traffic, on the other hand, presents terribly low CTRs because these visitors are tech-savvy and they just ignore ads.

List of popular CPC advertising networks:

2. CPM Advertising Networks

CPM advertising networks behave pretty much as PPC networks, except that you get paid according to the number of impressions (i.e., page views) that the ads displayed on your site will generate. CPM stands for Cost per Mille, and it refers to the cost for 1,000 impressions.

A blog that generates 100,000 page views monthly displaying an advertising banner with a $1 CPM, therefore, will earn $100 monthly.

CPM rates vary with the network, the position of the ad and the format. The better the network, the higher the CPM rate (because they have access to more advertisers). The closer you put the ad to the top of the page, the higher the CPM. The bigger the format (in terms of pixels), the higher the CPM.

You can get as low as $0,10 and as high as $10 per 1,000 impressions (more in some special cases). CPM advertising tends to work well on websites with a high page views per visitor ratio (e.g., online forums, magazines and so on).

List of popular CPM advertising networks:

3. Direct Banner Advertising

Selling your own advertising space is one of the most lucrative monetization methods. First and foremost because it enables you to cut out the middleman commissions and to determine your own rates. The most popular banner formats on the web are the 728×90 leaderboard, the 120×600 skyscraper, the 300×250 rectangle and the 125×125 button.

The downside of direct banner advertising is that you need to have a big audience to get qualified advertisers, and you will need to spend time managing the sales process, the banners and the payments.

4. Text Link Ads

After Google declared that sites selling text links without the nofollow tag would be penalized, this monetization method became less popular.

Many website owners are still using text links to monetize their sites, though, some using the nofollow tag and some not.

The advantage of this method is that it is not intrusive. One can sell text links directly through his website or use specialized networks like Text-Link-Ads and Text-Link-Brokers to automate the process.

Text link marketplaces and networks:

5. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a very popular practice on the Internet. Under this system you have a merchant that is willing to let other people (the affiliates) sell directly or indirectly its products and services, in exchange for a commission. Sometimes this type of advertising is also called CPA (cost per action) or CPL (cost per lead) based.

Affiliates can send potential customers to the merchant using several tools, from banners to text links and product reviews.

In order to find suitable affiliate programs you can turn to individual companies and publishers like Dreamhost and SEOBook, or join affiliate marketplaces and networks.

List of popular affiliate marketplaces and networks:

6. Monetization Widgets

The latest trend on the web are widgets that let you monetize your website. Examples include Widgetbucks and SmartLinks. Some of these services operate under a PPC scheme, others behave like text link ads, others yet leverage affiliate links.

Their main differentiator, however, is the fact that they work as web widgets, making it easier for the user to plug and play the service on its website.

List of companies that provide monetization widgets:

7. Sponsored Reviews

PayPerPost pioneered this model, with much controversy on the beginning (related to the fact that they did not require disclosure on paid posts). Soon other companies followed, most notably Sponsored Reviews and ReviewMe, refining the process and expanding the paid blogging model.

Joining one of these sponsored reviews marketplaces will give you the opportunity to write sponsored posts on a wide range of topics. Not all bloggers are willing to get paid to write about a specific product or website (because it might compromise the editorial credibility), but the ones who do are making good money out of it.

If your blog has a big audience you could also offer sponsored reviews directly, cutting off the commissions of the middleman.

List of sponsored reviews and paid blogging networks:

8. RSS Feed Ads

With the quick adoption of the RSS technology by millions of Internet users, website owners are starting to find ways to monetize this new content distribution channel.

Feedburber already has its own publisher network, and you can sign-up to start displaying CPM based advertising on your feed footer. Bidvertiser recently introduced a RSS feed ad option as well, with a PPC scheme.

Finally, some blogs are also opting to sell banners or sponsored messages on their feed directly. John Chow and Marketing Pilgrim are two examples.

9. Sponsors for Single Columns or Events

If you website has specific columns or events (e.g., a weekly podcast, an interview series, a monthly survey, a special project) you could find companies to sponsor them individually.

This method increases the monetization options for website owner, while giving advertisers the possibility to target a more specific audience and with a reduced commitment.

Mashable illustrates the case well. They have several advertising options on the site, including the possibility to sponsor specific columns and articles, including the “Daily Poll” and the “Web 2.0 Invites.”

Problogger also runs group writing projects occasionally, and before proceeding he publicly announce the project asking for sponsors.

10.Premium Content

Some websites and blogs give away part of their content for free, and charge for access to the premium content and exclusive tools.

SEOMoz is a good example. They have a very popular blog that gives advice and information on wide range of SEO related topics. On top of that visitors can decide to become premium members. It costs $48 monthly and it grants them access to guides, tools and other exclusive material.

11. Private Forums

While the Internet is populated with free forums, there is also the possibility to create a private one where members need to pay a single or recurring fee to join.

SEO Blackhat
charges $100 monthly from its members, and they have thousands of them. Obviously in order to charge such a price for a forum membership you need to provide real value for the members (e.g., secret techniques, tools, and so on).

Performancing also launched a private forum recently, focused on the networking aspect. It is called The Hive, and the monthly cost is $10.

These are just two examples. There are many possibilities to create a private and profitable forum, you just need to find an appealing angle that will make it worth for the members.

List of popular forum software:

12. Job Boards

All the popular blogs are trying to leverage job boards to make some extra income. Guy Kawasaki, ReadWriteWeb, Problogger… you name it.

Needless to say that in order to create an active and profitable job board you need first to have a blog focused on a specific niche, and a decent amount traffic.

The advantage of this method is that it is passive. Once you have the structure in place, the job listings will come naturally, and you can charge anywhere from $10 up to $100 for each.

List of popular job board software:

13. Marketplaces

Sitepoint is the online marketplace by excellence. Some websites and blogs, however, are trying to replicate that model on a smaller scale.

Depending on your niche, a market place that allows your visitors to buy, sell and trade products could work well. Over the time you could start charging a small fee for new product listings.

The problem with this method is that there are no standard software on the web, so you would need to hire a coder to get a marketplace integrated into your website.

You can see an example of a marketplaces being used on EasyWordpress and on Mashable.

14. Paid Surveys and Polls

There are services that will pay you money to run a small survey or poll on your website. The most popular one is called Vizu Answers.

Basically you need to sign up with them, and select the kind of polls that you want to run your site. Most of these services operate under a CPM model.

15. Selling or Renting Internal Pages

Million Dollar Wiki made this concept popular, but it was being used on the web for a long time around (check Pagerank10.co.uk for instance).

These websites sell for a single fee or rent for a recurring fee internal pages on their domain. Usually they have either high Pagerak or high traffic, so that people purchasing a page will be able to benefit in some way.

Implementing this method on a small blog would be difficult, but the concept is interesting and could be explored further.

16. Highlighted Posts from Sponsors

Techmeme probably pioneered this idea, but somehow it has not spread to other websites. The tech news aggregator displays editorial posts on the left column, and on the sidebar they have a section titled “Techmeme Sponsor Posts.”

On that section posts from the blog of the advertisers get highlighted, sending qualified traffic their way. Considering that the monthly cost for one spot is $5000 and that they have around 6 sponsors at any given time, it must be working well.

17. Donations

Placing a “Donate” link or button on a website can be an efficient way to earn money, especially if your blog is on a niche where readers learn and gain value from your content.

Personal development and productivity blogs, for instance, tend to perform well with donation based systems (one good example being Steve Pavlina).

A small variation of this method appeared sometime ago with the Buy Me a Beer plugin. This WordPress plugin enables you to insert a customized message at the bottom of each article, asking the readers to chip in for a beer or coffee.

18. In-text Adverting

In-text adverting networks like Kontera and Vibrant Media will place sponsored links inside your text. These links come with a double underline to differentiate them from normal links, and once the user rolls the mouse over the link the advertising will pop. Should the user click on it the site owner will make some money.

Some people make good money with this method, but others refrain from using it due to its intrusiveness. It is also interesting to note that very few mainstream websites have experimented with in-text advertising.

19. Pop-ups and Pop-unders

Pop-ups are a common yet annoying form of advertising on the Internet. If you are just trying to make a much money as possible from your website, you could experiment with them.

If you are trying to grow the traffic and generate loyal visitors, however, you probably should stay away from them. Just consider the hundreds of pop-up blockers out there: there is a reason why they are so popular.

Ad networks that use pop-ups:

20. Audio Ads

Also called PPP (Pay Per Play), this advertising method was introduce by Net Audio Ads. the concept is pretty simple: play a small audio advertising (usually 5 seconds) every time a visitor enters into your website. The user should not be able to stop it, creating a 100% conversion rate based on unique visitors.

The company is still rolling tests, but some users are reporting to get from a $4 to a $6 CPM. Regardless of the pay rate, though, this is a very intrusive form of advertising, so think twice before using it.

21. Selling the Website

Selling your website could be your last resource, but it has the potential to generate a big sum of money in a short period of time.

Market places on online forums like DigitalPoint and Sitepoint are always active with website buyers and sellers. Keep in mind that they most used parameter to determine the value of a website is the monthly revenue that it generates, multiplied by a certain number (the multiplier can be anything from 5 to 30, depending on the expectations of the seller, on the quality of the site, on the niche and other factors).

Some people also make money trading and flipping websites. They either create them from scratch or buy existing ones, and after some revamping they sell them for a profit.

22. Selling an Ebook

Perhaps one of the oldest money making strategies on the web, using a website to promote a related ebook is a very efficient way to generate revenue.

You could either structure the website around the book itself, like SEOBook.com, or launch the ebook based on the success of the website, like FreelanceSwitch did we the book How to be a Rockstar Freelancer.

23. Selling a Hardcover Book

Many authors and journalists leverage their blogs or websites to sell copies of hardcover books. Examples include Guy Kawasaki, Seth Godin and Malcolm Gladwell.

While most of these people were already renowned authors before they created their website, one could also follow the other way around. Lorelle VanFossen did exactly that with her Blogging Tips book. First she built her authority on the subject via her blog, and afterwards she published the book.

List of self publishing and publishing services:

24. Selling Templates or WordPress Themes

As more and more people decide to get an online presence, website templates and WordPress themes become hotter and hotter.

On this segment you have mainstream websites like TemplateMonster, as well as individual designers who decide to promote and sell their work independently.

Brian Gardner and Unique Blog Designs are two examples of websites that make money with the sales of premium and custom WordPress themes.

25. Offering Consulting and Related Services

Depending on your niche, you could make money by offering consulting and related services. If you are also the author of your blog, the articles and information that you will share will build your profile and possibly certify your expertise on that niche, making it easier to gain customers.

Chris Garrett used a similar strategy. First he created a highly influential blog on the blogging and new media niche, and afterwards he started offering consulting services to clients with related problems and needs.

26. Creating an Email List or Newsletter

Email lists and newsletters represent one of the most powerful marketing and money making tools on the Internet. They offer incredible conversion rates, and the possibility to call people to action in a very efficient way.

Creating a big list is a difficult task though, so if you have a popular website you could leverage it to increase the number of subscribers on your list.

Yaro Starak is a famous Internet marketer, and if you visit his blog you will notice that right on top he has a section encouraging visitors to subscribe to his email newsletter. Yaro generates five figures in revenues each month from his email newsletters, proving that this method works.

List of software to manage email newsletters:

27. Mentoring programs

People are willing to pay for someone or something that will teach them and give them knowledge (as opposed to mere information). Education is one of the biggest industries in the world, and the online landscape behaves in a similar way.

Creating a mentoring program related to the niche of your website could be very profitable if you manage to structure and promote it adequately. There is a wide range of media and tools that you can use to deliver the information, from text articles to audio and video lessons.

Brian Clark leveraged the success of Copyblogger to launch a mentoring program teaching people how to build membership and how to sell content online. The program is titled Teaching Sells, and it costs $97 monthly. Sounds expensive, but they have over 1,000 members.

28. Creating a conference around the website

If your website takes off and becomes an authority on its niche, you could create a conference around it. Depending on the size of your audience, the event could attract thousands of people, and you could make money directly from conference passes and sponsors.

Search Engine Land, for instance, created a series of conferences that visit several cities on the United States and on other countries as well. The conferences are

you have to think before you speak to me!

my presence ever makes you feel uncomfortable!

you have to thank me for everything i do for you!

you have to say sorry for everything that you don't do!

you have to ask me for favors!

you think i would not be curious to know your new philosophy of life!

you go by what i say and do not understand what i don't say!

you think that listening to your dreams would put me to sleep!

you think that seeing you in pain, would not bring a tear to me!

you think I do not remember the first time we met!

you don't see the thousand ways I try to make you happy!

Friendship Lasts Forever

Don’t let the past hold you back; you’re missing the good stuff.
Life’s short. If you don’t look around once in a while, you might miss it.

A best friend is like a four leaf clover: hard to find and lucky to have.

Good friends are like stars….You don’t always see them, but you know they are always there.

Don’t frown. You never know who is falling in love with your smile.

What do you do when the only person who can make you stop crying is the person who made you cry?

Everything is okay in the end. If it’s not okay, then it’s not the end.

There may be somebody who is thinking about you RIGHT NOW and wishing that you were around. That’s the wonderful thing about friendship-you always feel loved and cared about.

The most important thing to remember is… Always appreciate the friends that you have.

A fight may come and go very easily, but a friendship could last forever.
